California
California is mostly wilderness and a few small towns. Most of the small towns are gold mining towns and a few Native American Reservations. Three major cities have sprung up in resent years.
California Republic
Started in New San Francisco the California Republic (CR) is slowly expanding. Calming all of old California and parts of Oregon, Nevada, and Washington. We know full well that it can't keep all that
territory under its protection and a few small villages and Reservations chose not to join that live in that area. We leave those villages alone and allow them to chose there own path. Only helping
them when asked or directly threaten by them or by the actions against them.
New San Francisco
The first large city to grow in California. Built where preRIFTS Redwood city to Oakland stood. It stared around a large factory that was built in the area. The cities power is provided by a rift
genterator built by Tecno-Wizards from Lazlo. It is the largest city in California at 12 million with a 20% grow rate a year. New San Francisco is also the capital city of the California Republic.
Fort Stockton
The second city admitted into the republic started as a military base too protect the fertile Central Valley farmland and its residents.
Soon the large military fort started to attract farmers and others around it to form a thriving community of 5 million people with a 10% per year growth rate a year.
Redding
The latest induction into the republic and strangest yet. A large city in preRIFTS redding. Built and populated by kittani and kydian with many other splugroth minion and slave races.
When the California Republic first discovered the city they thought it was a trading post for Atlantis, another evil splugroth, or renegade minions even. The truth was beyond anything that they would have expected.
A rare few splugroth are good and actively work against their own evil brothers. Keyennrenn the President of this group of renegades and has been for centuries. Being a Splugroth intelligence most of the people feel as long as he keeps doing a good job ruling with compassion and fairness he is the best one for the job.
